Transgender activists and their allies running woke school districts make one thing clear: The rights, feelings, and privacy of young girls don’t matter to them — only the demands of boys who want their delusions to be affirmed by everyone else.
Last week at a school board meeting for the Deerfield Public School District 109, Nicole Georgas, a mother of a middle school girl, stated that she had filed a civil rights complaint with the Department of Justice (DOJ) after school administrators allegedly forced girls to change in front of a male student.
She stated that administrators told her daughter that the boy was allowed to use the girls’ bathroom and locker room “because they now identify as female.”
Georgas said that she had previously communicated with school administrators regarding the issue, but they claimed they were following legal counsel which advised the student was allowed to use the girls’ facilities.
Georgas responded that President Donald Trump signed an executive order banning males from using girls’ bathrooms or locker rooms, but the school did not relent.
“That day, I filed a civil rights complaint, on behalf of my daughter, with the Department of Justice. It has now been referred to the Department of Education. A federal complaint has been filed with the district to protect the students,” she stated at the meeting.
Georgas said that the situation “went from bad to worse” as the male student was then in the girls’ locker room before P.E. class. The girls decided to engage in a protest by refusing to change in the room with the male student.
The girls were then allegedly questioned by Assistant Principal Cathy Van Treese and Assistant Superintendent for Student Services Joanna Ford who told the girls that the male was allowed to change in their locker room.
Georgas claimed that teachers and administrators, including Director of Student Services Ginger Logerman, then entered the locker room and forced the girls to change in the locker room with the male student. Georgas said this occurred for a week.
She said her daughter was so upset she ran out of the locker room and called her mom for help.
Georgas said the school’s answer was to offer her daughter a different P.E. class.
“The answer was no,” Georgas said during the meeting.
“She is not changing for the remainder of the year and she is not changing into another class. The girls just want their privacy and they want their locker room back. There are gender-neutral options. This is my daughter’s story and the story of many other young girls who have been forced at the difficult age to do something they know, and most adults know is wrong,” she said.
She also expressed her concern that the district was setting a precedent of dismissing girls’ privacy concerns and making it harder to protect their privacy later.
Deerfield Public Schools District 109 responded to the claim in a it provided to Fox News Digital, saying,
“District 109 is committed to providing a learning environment where all students and staff are respected and supported. Our policies and procedures, including student use of locker rooms, align with state laws, the Illinois School Code, and Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) guidance. No student is required to change into a gym uniform for physical education class in front of others in locker rooms. All students in the middle schools have multiple options to change in a private location if they wish.”
Video of the school board meeting reveals that Georgas was the only person to stand up and speak in support of the girls, while numerous transgender advocates and activists, who had learned that Georgas was going to speak about the issue, spoke out against them.
Georgas claims most of the people at the meeting were not even from the district.
One man said that the school’s policies should be “based on fact and not fearmongering,” adding, “Let’s be clear about what’s happening, the claim that girls were forced to change in front of a boy isn’t just misleading it’s a deliberate misrepresentation, what they’re talking about who they’re talking about is a girl, a transgender girl. But instead of acknowledging her for who she is, they’re framing her identity in a way designed to provoke outrage and fear.”
He, as well as others who spoke in support of the school’s policies, claimed that those who are uncomfortable should use a private changing room and argued that no one is being forced to change in front of a boy.
Another speaker, Charlie Friedman, a transgender person and parent of a transgender child, as well as the director of operations for Trans Up Front, a transgender activist group, argued, “The discomfort or privacy concerns of other students, teachers, or parents are not valid reasons to deny or limit the full and equal use of those facilities based on a student’s gender-related identity. Instead any student, teacher or other individuals seeking more privacy should be accommodated by providing that individual with a more private option.”
Some of the speakers argued that the girls and their parents needed to be educated by the school so they would learn to accept the boy’s gender identity as real.
Many other speakers insulted Georgas and others with similar views calling them white supremacists, petty, and insulted their religion.
This is what girls in many K-12 districts deal with on a regular basis: They must willingly submit to the demands and delusions of the transgender belief system — or they will be forced to do so. And those who resist will be punished.
This is what happened to Georgas’ daughter and the other girls in that locker room and in the days since.
The words of the transgender activists at the school board meeting — and the actions of the administrators in handling the situation — sent that very clear message: A young girl’s right to privacy doesn’t matter as much as a confused boy’s feelings. They made it abundantly clear that the “problem” lies only with the girls: They are uneducated on this issue, and if they can’t get with the program, they need to go elsewhere.
These activists and administrators would have an entire P.E. class of girls move into a private changing room, while a lone boy occupies the girls’ locker room rather than requiring the boy to use a gender-neutral space.
That is the transgender movement summed up in one statement: The feelings, desires, and the mental illness of one person or a few people matter more than the eternally recognized and real right to privacy that every human being is born with and deserves.
This policy doesn’t just harm girls’ mental health — it is dangerous to their physical well-being and it is illegal.
The school’s policy violates Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which requires equal access for girls and sex-segregated locker rooms and bathrooms. President Trump’s order only further entrenches this legal standard.
There has been no statement from the Department of Justice or Department of Education on this matter, but considering their swift action in investigating Maine for its refusal to follow Title IX, it is likely that we will hear word soon.
The courage of these girls and Nicole Georgas is why we know about this issue, and if these allegations are true there should be serious legal consequences.
