A Polish pastor from Calgary held nothing back when police tried to disrupt his Passover service. Pastor Artur Pawlowski of Street Church went viral over the Easter/Passover weekend after posting a video of him chasing six police and health officials from his sanctuary after they tried shutting down the hallowed Passover ceremony.
“Get out! … Immediately get out of this property! I don’t want to hear anything! … Until you get a warrant, out! Immediately go out and don’t come back!”
In the video, Pawlowski calls the police the “Gestapo” in reference to Germany’s secret police during the Hitler regime.
“And don’t come back without a warrant! … Do not come back without a warrant, you understand that? You’re not welcome here. Nazis are not welcomed here. Gestapo is not welcomed here. Do not come back, you Nazi psychopaths.”
The committed pastor, who repeatedly described the police’s actions as fascist, communistic, and Nazi-like, told the Toronto Sun that the Holocaust hit home with him, given his heritage.
“I grew up under communism and my grandparents lived under the Nazis … My family escaped the communists in Poland and first went to Greece and then to Canada to get away from it. There were millions of Jewish people murdered in Poland including at Auschwitz.”
He continued,
“I was a witness to beatings during the Solidarity movement … My grandparents told me about those who were just following orders.”
Pawlowski showed courage as the pastor of the church, as a shepherd protecting his flock from those who would look to hurt them, either physically or by violating their rights.
“This is a place for worship and no place for weapons … We have people praying here. They were scaring the kids. This was Passover. This is Easter.”
Pawlowski capitalized off of the incident by sharing his church information on Facebook, including church service time and contact information.

Pastors across the world are facing continued legal pressure from regimes that insist on implementing irrational, ineffective COVID-19 restrictions. Pastors like Artur Pawlowski, James Coates, John MacArthur, and Jack Hibbs have set a courageous and reasonable example of putting God over man.
